Karim’s Quest

When i came to the United States i was on a quest for success, and for a better life. when i came to the U.S. i was 14 and i knew what i was looking for. In my country it was really hard to find success, because it is a little country with a high population. The population was around 10 million people, so you can’t always get what you want. Now i came to the United States i am working hard to graduate, go to college, and perhaps be successful in a good job.

Thursday’s blog

This kind of experience has happened to my brother, mother and me. Two years ago my family and I came to the United States. So I can study the American culture and also to have a better life. But this year my father left us because he found a better job back in my country (Tunisia). I don’t feel really bad about this because in the other way my father is happy living with his parents. It is really difficult for me to live without my father around to explain me somethings I don’t understand. I call my father almost every day that is what it makes this situation easier. I would go to another country or state to make more money so my family and i can live better, but I would ask them if they want to come with me or if they are really happy. If I leave my familly and go to another state or country I would call them to stay close and especially to know how there doing. To keep a good relationship with my familly i would call them in the week-end or every day.

The War in Iraq

Usually people fight for land and oil or something like that but in this case America is fighting because Afganistan crached down the two towers. Now the president of the United States wont let them go, til they give up on them. This fighting over a land is really not justified, like for example i get heat by a guy and then i heat him back. This is not apropriate if i heat the person back. It is the same thing for this case, America can’t do what it is doing right now. This has to stop really fast. I think people should not fight, i think people should share a land, make peace and other kind of stuff.

My confldct

I am going to talk about a conflict i have had recently. I was in the market buying some stuff for my mom and then i went to pay, then there was a guy he just passed in front of me, then i said excuse me sir but i was there, then he said do i look blind to you. I said no! But i just said that i was in the front first. Then he stayed there so i just went to the cashier, and then he got me to go in front of that guy then we started to talk outside of the store, he told me i am sorry.  He didn’t seen in front of me and everything else, so it means i got help from the cashier to solve the problem.  In the end the conflict was resolved!
